ANOTHER very special request.  We have several elderly Boxers (eight years old and above) currently in kennels.
Could anyone please find it in their hearts to give a permanent foster home to one of these oldies which would otherwise spend the

  Missie Twelve year old red bitch. Good children, spayed.  Owner will pay for her medication, foster home desperately needed.

Moss  4years old.  A rather dominant dog, but very good with children (currently lives with an elderly Boxer bitch).  He is castrated, and can be a little destructive (understood he chewed the Boxer bitch's wicker bed!)  He does not like cats.  When he is protective it is only at the front door when people come knocking - fine outside.

  Another pair. Tigger and Togger Brindle, litter brother and sister, five years old.  Bitch has been spayed, dog has been castrated.  No small children.  Home together much preferred but could possibly be split if homes found at same time.

  Nico 3 year old brindle Boxer X Rottweiler, who is looking for an experienced home.  He could live with a family with sensible older teenagers, but would not be able to live with younger children as he is still a little boisterous. He came with very sore ears.  His owners gave him no training and his ears were not tended to, so Nico was very unhappy about being handled, muzzled, etc.  He has been worked with and he can now be muzzled for vet visits when necessary, and is much happier being handled.  He is a fantastic dog, and a huge fusspot with lots and lots of energy.  With further training he definitely has potential to be a great pet, he just needs an experienced owner who will use positive training methods to bring out the best in him.He is good with other dogs, but it is recommended he is introduced to them slowly due to his strength and size.  He prefers bitches to dogs, and it is believed he could live with a calmer dog or easy going bitch.

  Smooch  Ten year old brindle, docked and castrated.  OK children and OK other dogs.  His problem is that he gets very stressed.  His owner is a nurse and leaves him for long periods.  He has had an operation but is pronounced clear.

  Bertie Can anyone help?  Bertie is only two years old, a brindle dog, currently in kennels but not doing well there.  We believe he suffered harsh physical abuse at the hands of his previous owner culminating in Bertie turning and biting the man's hand. Now, if he's hurt in anyway, his first reaction is to turn on the human inflicting pain.  They are not savage attacks, just the dog protecting himself.  He is very protective over food etc.  Outside the home he's friendly and playful with other dogs but in the home everything is his, so he MUST be the only dog.  GIVEN HIS BACKGROUND THERE SHOULD BE NO CHILDREN AT ALL IN THE HOME.

  Digby & yrs old, entire. Not brilliant with children.  Not good with other dogs on lead.  Molly  9 years old, spayed.  OK off lead, good with children and dogs - is a lapdog!  Only reason for parting, wife died, widower left with two small children and now has to go abroad to work.  These two could be split.

  Kara twelve years old, Rebel nine years old, mother and son. Fantastic with children, youngest child they have been around is a boisterous 2 year old and they were fine, inoculations up to date. They don't like seeing or hearing ladders.  They do pull on their leads and bark at other dogs, so probably not good with other pets.  They only eat dried food and anything else will make them sick so no scraps or meat of any sort. Rebel has been neutered, don't know about Kara.
